Cane Bay Plantation donated 68 acres in the center of the community to be used for a YMCA. As the largest land donation to a non-camp YMCA in history, this complex will include an elevated walking track, modern exercise equipment, basketball and tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and health and wellness programs. In addition, there will be a 25-yard aquatics education complex. Construction of this 52,000 square foot facility will begin sometime in late 2016 and take approximately 15 to 18 months.
An interconnecting trail system planned to be over 25 miles long, winds its way throughout the community. This trail system connects all of the communities and most amenities. Children can use the trail system to bike to school without having to cross any busy roadways, thanks to some well-planned overpasses.
We know how important it is for you to stay connected. That’s why we partnered with Home Telecom to ensure everyone inside Cane Bay Plantation has access to Velocity Fiber, which is Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) technology that delivers the widest bandwidth and high speed internet (500 Mbps) through a fiber-optic connection run directly to your home. In short, that means you’ll have reliable, blazing fast access to the Internet. FTTH is less susceptible to inclement weather and the only technology that will be able to keep up with the unknown demands of tomorrow.
There are several options for your family’s health and wellness right inside the community.
One of the biggest benefits of life at Cane Bay Plantation is convenience. Just inside the entryway is a Publix-anchored shopping center to fit all your daily needs.
